Health Canada DPD. Comprehensive listing of drugs authorized for sale in Canada including generic products. View complete product monographs, discontinued products, and listing dates. Search for products by DIN, ATC, brand/trade name or active ingredient.
AHS Policies. Effective December 16, 2019, the Protecting Canadians from Unsafe Drugs Act (Vanessa's Law) requires all hospitals to report all serious adverse drug reactions (SADRs) and medical device incidents (MDIs) documented within the hospital to Health Canada.

Search single monographs or to find which one(s) of multiple drugs could cause a specific reaction, try the following tip: use the tab “More Clinical Tools” > Advanced Search > "Limit Search To": Adverse Reactions and enter term in search box.
For single monographs searches, select the "In-Depth Answers" tab for a comprehensive monograph, then click the "View Full Document" to search all sections at once. To quickly assess a long list of medications, try the "Drugs that Cause" feature; enter that phrase with the relevant ADR term in the search box to get an alphabetical list.
Data is sourced from VigiBase®, the WHO’s global database for ADRs, collected by national drug authorities in over 110 countries and includes more than 100 000 different medicinal products. Adverse reactions are grouped by body system, lab values (“investigations”), product issues, and social impacts. Distribution by geography, age, gender, and year is also available.
