The AKDN is a collaborative network of Nephrology Researchers located in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta
The mission of the AKDN is to undertake clinical research and research training in kidney disease in five key areas:
Clinical Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Clinical Trials, Meta-Analyses, and Health Economics
We are a national collaborative network of clinical and translational investigators, community nephrologists, allied health personnel, and patients working together to improve the quantity and quality of prospective clinical studies and randomized trials in nephrology in Canada in order to benefit patients with kidney disease.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada exists for the enhancement of kidney health and the reduction and, if possible, the elimination of the burden of kidney diseases. The primary beneficiaries are people at risk of or affected by kidney disease.
Kidney Cancer Canada is a national community of 2,000 patients and caregivers who have joined together to provide every Canadian touched by kidney cancer with the support information and hope they need to face the disease with strength and courage: We're here to help you!
