Single Use Medical Devices Policy
Alberta Health Services. Policy and additional support materials (approved exceptions, FAQ, ect.)
Reusable & single-use medical devices standards: standards for the reprocessing of reusable medical devices and for the use of single-use medical devices in all health care facilities and settings
Establishes minimum requirements for the use of single-use medical devices and the cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of reusable medical devices between client use. Compliance with these standards is mandatory for Alberta Health Services (AHS) and their contracted service providers.
