Search Box - About

The KRS search box will allow you to perform a search across our collection. Your search will cover many but not all of the library's resources. Specifically, you will find that it contains:
  • articles from journals that we subscribe to,
  • chapters from select ebooks and other electronic texts to which we subscribe,
  • content from select databases that we license, and
  • freely available content from open access journals.
Looking for Print Books?
Print books will not be included in your search. To locate print, and other physical items in the KRS collection we encourage use to use our library catalogue.

Also note that content from our point of care tools: Dynamed and Lippincott Advisor/Procedures are not covered in your search results. Please access these using the links above, or in the Popular Resources box below

Simply begin by typing in some words that describe your topic
or by entering in a journal article title.

Quick Tips for Powerful Searches

1. Be Concise

  • Try to capture your question in as few terms as possible.

2. Check your Spelling

  • No results? Check for correct spelling. This can happen to all of us!

3. Use Filters on Results

  • Featured on the left hand column of the search results, you can narrow your results to a certain publication type (e.g. Journal article) or date.
Do you have a specific journal article title? If so, you can make use of quotations "" around the title to capture the exact phrase.

Remember, for more comprehensive searches it will be best to search individual databases and search subject specific resources. You can find these in the box to the left under Popular Resources, or find them listed in the Database tab of any of our Subject Guides.
