AHS and Covenant Health Supports

There are many supports within AHS which may help you along your research journey, beyond KRS.

Health Systems Access/NACTRC
Two related teams who jointly work to provide study teams with access to AHS resources for health inquiry purposes, by facilitating access to AHS areas, data, IT systems, patients or staff anywhere in Alberta.
AHS Legal & Privacy - Information & Privacy
Promotes the protection of privacy and access to information throughout Alberta Health Services. This team can help answer questions related to the legal aspects of using patient or corporate information in publications.
Copyright
Supports AHS staff to increase their knowledge of copyright principles, creative commons licensing, how to be copyright compliant when creating content for AHS, and reusing third party copyright protected materials.
Data & Analytics
Provides a wide range of data services and resources for analytics (e.g., enterprise data acquisition, data integration, metadata, data quality investigation, etc.) including Primary Data Support and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Research Challenge
This AHS program provides an opportunity for front-line clinicians to enter into research for the first time. It is designed to increase knowledge and skills to access, conduct and apply practice-based research.
Covenant Health Research Centre
The CHRC is dedicated to promoting innovation, facilitating inquiry, developing partnerships, and integrating research into practice at Covenant Health facilities.
